Volkswagen Caddy Life – This summer saw the arrival of another new vehicle for the Stanmore operation, a Brotherwood conversion which includes an electric winch to enable easy loading of even the heaviest wheelchair. This vehicle has been named ‘Sue’ in honour of the Barbara Bus Chairman’s wife, and has already proved very popular with our drivers and passengers. West Yorkshire - A new venture for the Fund is a possible collaboration with a group called SURF (Spinal Unit Recreation Fund) based at the Pinderfields Hospital in Wakefield. A vehicle was donated to them and they have asked the Fund to help them run it for the benefit of the patients in the Spinal Unit. We are very optimistic that the vehicle will be on the road shortly.
